Sarah Rowan was a lifelong educator. Sarah’s beloved husband Joseph lived with dementia. During her search for a care community for Joseph, Sarah found The Eden Alternative and the work of Bill and Jude Thomas. Sarah’s stories about their journey taught many people about person-directed care and advocacy for a person living with dementia. Sarah shared the Eden Approach to all who would listen and served as a teacher and wise sage until her last day.
